Racing Tips for Laying - Finding the Right Tipster Service II

Let's analyse where it all went wrong.

Well, without stating the obvious here, if your selection criteria that you used to choose your racing tips service was sound (which it was, wasn't it?), you should have realised that there is not a service on earth that will provide a constant stream of losers. A winner is inevitable, it's like night and day, and one follows the other and has done since the beginning of time. And more bad news I'm afraid, the shorter the price the lay advice is provided at the more the winners will increase. The horse is not at a short price for nothing. Well, most of the time it is not, but that's a whole different story.

So, oh bearer of grim tidings what's your point here?

Okay... let's re-evaluate for a minute. You had some winners, does this make the tipster service rubbish? Well, NO! You didn't make instant riches, again is this the tipster to blame? Again, NO! Could it be down to your mental expectation? An emphatic YES! Maybe your whole perception of what is needed to make money from laying horses was flawed. If I were going to trial a racing tipster service, laying or backing, the last thing on my list would be the INITIAL PROFITABILITY during the trial period. To me, that is not what the trial is all about. Don't get me wrong here, it would be ON my list but not right at the top.

So let's set about preparing you right mentally. This is the key to progression from wandering around in the dark to financial freedom. We have to develop a LONG TERM mind set. We have to be in this for the LONG HAUL and not just a quick gain.

You will now be wondering... why is this so important?

It's simple. If you are just looking for a quick fix then maybe you will strike it rich by constantly moving from one racing tips service to another. But I doubt it! You should be looking for a LONG TERM consistent income. Get over the HYPE. Hopefully you don't let it control your life. I mean you don't buy a new flat screen TV, watch it for 3 weeks and decide it's useless cause there were some programs you didn't like and proceed to chuck it in the bin. Was it the TV's fault? Laying horses is not the get rich quick scheme some would have you believe - so patience and persistence is an absolute necessity.

One thing laying horses can be... guaranteed... is a get broke extremely quick scheme if all you are looking for is a quick fix. I know as I am writing this that some of you will still quit services on as little as two or three successive losers/winners. You have to realise that trying to join a racing tips service at the beginning of a long winning streak is like trying to win the pools, win the lottery or finding a needle in a haystack... possibly all three combined.
